Found exclusively on channel 147 on SiriusXM , RURAL RADIO is the agribusiness and western lifestyle channel for the U.S. and Canada. RURAL RADIO’s program schedule revolves around original productions focused on agriculture, equine, hunting, fishing, Western sports, and living the country life in small towns and ranches. Broadcast operations for the station are located in Nashville, Tennessee on Music Row. The channel airs multiple exclusive series including Market Day Report, Rural Evening News, Western Sports Roundup, FarmHer Talks, and reports from CME on Commodity Wrap. RURAL RADIO also carries live western sports including bull-riding, PRCA rodeo events as well as RFD-TV’s THE AMERICAN and Rodeo New York.

RURAL RADIO’s broadcast operations are based in Nashville, Tennessee in affiliation with Rural Media Group, Inc. Reconnecting city with country, RMG is the parent company of RFD-TV, RURAL RADIO, The Cowboy Channel and RFD-TV The Magazine. RURAL RADIO’s program schedule provides a wide variety of original productions focused on agriculture, equine, hunting, fishing, western sports, and living the country life in small towns. In 2014, RURAL RADIO solidified a major international broadcast partnership with the World Professional Chuckwagon Association (WPCA) Pro Tour. In addition, the programming lineup has expanded to include coverage of  PRCA events, The AMERICAN and shows like MARKET DAY REPORT, RURAL EVENING NEWS, RURAL AMERICA LIVE, Western Sports Roundup, Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World, Ag PhD Radio, RealAg Radio, FFA Today, Working Ranch Radio Show and FarmHer Talks.

History:

On July 15, 2013, RURAL RADIO was launched as a 24/7 channel devoted to providing a wide variety of programming for and about rural American life, the western lifestyle, and agribusiness interests. The original kickoff celebration included a hosted a kick-off party at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in of 2013 and featured an all-day celebration at the finish line with food, music, a classic tractor exhibition, and wrapped up by setting a Guinness World Record pickup parade. The event was sanctioned and qualified against the strict requirements and parade standards specified by the Guinness World Records rules and featured a grand total of 386 pickup trucks circling the track.
